The Accused made a statutory declaration in a matter in the committal court Police v. Ayaz Khan on the 18th December 2017 where he was charged with that as attempting to pervert the course of Justice.

Discharged on the indictment
Bail moneys ordered to be refunded forthwith.

VERDICT

22nd November, 2017

  1. MIVIRI AJ: This defendant was charged with attempting to pervert the course of Justice in that he filed a statutory declaration in the committal matter Police v. Ayaz Khan. The charge was pursuant to Section 138 of the Criminal Code.
  2. The state filed a nollie Prosequi and I discharged the accused pursuant to that indictment and ordered that his bail money be refunded forthwith. There were no other matters outstanding against the defendant.
