AN ACT to amend the Public Moneys Act 1964 by allowing departments to transfer resources between Outputs and Sub-outputs on more than one occasion during a Financial Year

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of Western Samoa in Parliament assembled as follows:-

1. Short title and commencement - (1) This Act may be cited as the Public Moneys Amendment Act 1997 which shall be read together with and deemed part of the Public Moneys Act 1964 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

(2) This Act shall come into force on the date on which it receives the assent of the Head of State.

2. Amendment of Section 22(1) - Section 22(1) of the principal Act is hereby amended by repealing paragraph (b).

3. Amendment of Section 22(2) - Section 22(2) of the principal Act is hereby amended by repealing paragraph (b).
