REPUBLIC OF VANUATU

SUPPLEMENTARY APPROPRIATION (1999) ACT

NO. 2 of 2000

An Act to provide for the appropriation of additional funds for the services of the Government for the year ending on 31 December 1999 and for related purposes.

BE IT ENACTED by the President and Parliament as follows:

APPROPRIATION OF ADDITIONAL AMOUNTS

1. The additional amount of VT 668,000,000 is to be issued from the public funds of the Government of the Republic of Vanuatu for the year ending on 31 December 1999 and is appropriated as set out in Schedule 1.

APPROPRIATION OF AMOUNTS UNDER SECTION 39 OF THE PUBLIC FINANCE AND ECONOMIC MANAGEMENT ACT NO. 6 OF 1998

2. The additional amount of VT 137,000,000 issued from the Public Fund under section 39 of the Public Finance and Economic Management Act No. 6 of 1998 for the year ending on 31 December 1999 is appropriated in accordance with Schedule 2.

AMOUNTS CARRIED OVER AND ALLOCATED UNDER SECTION 37 OF THE PUBLIC FINANCE AND ECONOMIC MANAGEMENT ACT NO. 6 OF 1998

3. Schedule 3 sets out the allocation of amounts totalling VT 519,693,568 carried forward from the year ending on 31 December 1998 to the year ending on 31 December 1999 in accordance with section 37 of the Public Finance and Economic Management Act No. 6 of 1998.

COMMENCEMENT

4. This Act is taken to have commenced on 1 January 1999.
