LAW REFORM COMMISSION
(AMENDMENT) ACT NO. 17 OF 2021

An Act to amend the Law Reform Commission Act [CAP 115].

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1. Amendment

The Law Reform Commission Act [CAP 115] is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2. Commencement

This Act commences on the day on which it is published in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE

AMENDMENTS OF LAW REFORM COMMISSION ACT [CAP 115]

1. Subsection 3(1)

Delete “5”, substitute “8”

2. Paragraph 3(2)(d)

Delete “.”, substitute “;

(e) 1 person nominated by the Vanuatu Christian Council;

(f) 1 person nominated by the Vanuatu National Council of Women;

(g) 1 person nominated by the University of the South Pacific, School of Law, who has a legal background.”

3. Subsection 3(4)

Delete “3”, substitute “4”

4. Subsection 6(1)

Delete “not less than 6 times in each year”, substitute “4 times a year”

5. Subsection 6(2)

Delete “3”, substitute “5”
