JUDGMENT


UPON hearing Mr James Tari of Trans-Melanesian Lawyers, PMB 9073, Port-Vila in the Republic of Vanuatu, on behalf of the Claimant and Mr Tom Joe Botleng of the State Law Office on behalf of the Government; and


UPON the Defendant’s counsel’s admission on the issue of the liability and the quantum of the claim as claimed by the Claimant, the Court enters Judgment for the Claimant against the Defendant Government in the following way:-


  1. The Claimant is entitled to US$156,000 or equivalent in Vatu currency at the exchange rate applied on February 2004.
  2. Interest at 5% from 20 February 2004 (date of termination of the contract of employment) to date of payment.
  3. Costs of VT205,000 including filing and service fees.
  4. The Defendant to pay every month VT3,000,000 to the Claimant via Trans-Melanesian Lawyers Trust Fund until the total amount is fully paid.
