Public Prosecutor v Mara [1913] VUNHJC 38; Criminal 204 (8 August 1913)

The Joint Court of the New Hebrides.

Case No 204.

This eighth day of August one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

In the matter of a charge against the native Tom Mara.

The above named Tom Mara stands convicted of having stolen a magnifying glass belonging to Thomas Swallow a British subject at Epi on or about the 18th day of July 1913.

THEREUPON the Joint Court sentences the said Tom Mara for his said offence to be imprisoned for a term of FOURTEEN DAYS commencing from the 1st day of August 1913 and to pay the costs of proceedings.

Magnifying glass to be returned to Mr Swallow.
