Public Prosecutor v Hokomah [1913] VUNHJC 32; Criminal 191 (18 July 1913)

Case No 191


This eighteenth day of July one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, in the matter of a charge against Hokomah, Pinalum Point, Malekula.

WHEREAS being duly summoned he failed to present himself in answer to the summons and the charge having been heard in default of his appearance.

The above named Hokomah stands convicted before the Joint Court for that on the 25th. December 1912 at Wala Malekula he did sell alcoholic liquor to certain natives Livock and Harry contrary to the provisions of the New Hebrides Convention.
THEREUPON the Joint Court sentences the said Hokomah for his said offence to pay a penalty of two pounds (£2) and the costs of these proceedings.
