Practice Direction 1 of 2003 (Supreme Court Case File Prefixes)

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF TONGA


Practice Direction 1/03


Supreme Court Case File Prefixes


As part of the computerisation of the system in the Supreme Court, it will be necessary to alter some of the prefixes that have been used hitherto.


From 1 February 2003, the following prefixes must be used:


Civil
CV
Criminal
CR
Land
LA
Family (except divorce)
FA
Family Divorce
FD
Admiralty
AD
Appeals from Magistrates' Courts
AM
Court of Appeal
AC
Registrar General
RG

Cases already bearing the old prefixes will not be changed but, after 1 February 2003, no new cases will be accepted for filing unless they conform to this direction.
