AN ORDINANCE

TO AMEND THE SOLOMON ISLANDS MONETARY AUTHORITY ORDINANCE 1976

[24th October 1977]

ENACTED by the Governor of the Solomon Islands with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Solomon Islands, as follows:-

Short title and commencement.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Solomon Islands Monetary Authority (Amendment) Ordinance 1977 and shall come into operation on the 24th October 1977.

Amendment of section 2 the Solomon Islands Monetary Authority Ordinance 1976.

2. Section 2 of the Solomon Islands Monetary Authority Ordinance 1976 is hereby amended in the definition of "demand liabilities" by inserting immediately after the words "other than" the words "numismatic proof and brilliant uncirculated specimen coins issued by the Authority for sale to collectors of coins and".

Amendment of section 37 of the Principal Ordinance

3. Section 37(1) of the principal Ordinance is amended by substituting in line two thereof the figures "1978" for "1977".

Passed by the Legislative Assembly this third day of August one thousand nine hundred and seventy-seven.
