AN ACT

entitled

Public Hospitals (Amendment) Act 1998,

Being an Act to amend the Public Hospitals Act 1994,

MADE by the National Parliament to come into operation in accordance with a notice in the National Gazette by the Head of State, acting with, and in accordance with, the advice of the Minister.

1. FUNCTIONS OF BOARDS (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 7).

Section 7 of the Principal Act is amended in Subsection (1) by repealing the words "In respect of the public hospital for which it is established, the functions of the Board are -" and replacing them with the following:-

"Subject to the National Health Administration Act 1997, a Board has, in respect of the public hospital for which it is established, the following functions -".

2. POWERS OF BOARDS (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 8).

Section 8 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting at the beginning of that section the following:-

"Subject to the National Health Administration Act 1997,".
