ARRANGEMENT OF SECTION.


Retirement (Amendment of Section 7).

The Organic Law on the Terms and Conditions of Employment of Judges (Amendment) Law.


Being a Law to alter the Organic Law on the Terms and Conditions of Employment of Judges, and for related purposes,


MADE by the National Parliament to come into operation in accordance with a notice in the National Gazette by the Head of State, acting with, and in accordance with, the advice of the Minister.


RETIREMENT (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 7).


Section 7 of the Organic Law is amended –


(a) in Subsection (1) by repealing the number "60" (twice appearing) and replacing them with the following:


"72"; and


(b) in Subsection (2) by repealing the number "65" and replacing it with the following:


"75".

CERTIFICATE UNDER SECTION 14.


I, JEFFREY NAPE, Speaker of the National Parliament, hereby certify that the requirements of Section 14(1), (2) and (3) of the Constitution were complied with in respect of the Organic Law on the Terms and Conditions of Employment of Judges (Amendment) Law 2010 and that the law was made by the National Parliament as follows:–


(a) the first vote was taken on 11 March 2009 when the number of seats in the National Parliament was 109 and those voting for the proposal were 87 and none voted against the proposal; and


(b) the second vote was taken on 4 March 2010 when the number of seats in the National Parliament was 109 and those voting for the proposal were 87 and none voted against the proposal.
