HIGH COURT (AMENDMENT) (NO.2) RULES 1998

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 25 of the High Court Act, I hereby make the following Rules:-

Citation and commencement

1. (1) These Rules may be cited as the High Court (Amendment) (No. 2) Rules 1998 and come into force on 30 December 1998.

Amendment of Order 53

2. Order 53 of the High Court Rules is amended by adding the following Rule 3(9):

"(9) Upon granting leave the Court may, if satisfied that such a course is justified, direct that the grant shall operate either forthwith or conditionally as an entry of motion under rule 5(4) and may then proceed to Judgment on the application for judicial review or may give such further directions as may be warranted in the circumstances.".
