INCOME TAX (ALLOWANCES FOR DEPRECIATION AND IMPROVEMENTS (AMENDMENT) INSTRUCTIONS 2006

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 21 of the Income Tax Act, I issue the following instructions -

Short title and commencement

1. These Instructions may be cited as the Income Tax (Allowances for Depreciation and Improvements) (Amendment) Instructions 2006 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st January 2006.

Accelerated allowances for buildings

2. The Income Tax [Allowances for Depreciation and Improvements] Instructions is amended -

(a) in paragraph 37, in subparagraph (3)(c) and subparagraph (5), by deleting "2007" and substituting "2010"; and

(b) in paragraph 45, by deleting the words "write-off of capital expenditure" and substituting the words "100% write-off".
