An Act to amend the Transport Act 1966

(8th March 1985

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Cook Islands in session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. Short Title and commencement

(1) This Act may be cited as the Transport Amendment Act 1984-85 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Transport Act 1966 (hereinafter referred to as "the principle Act")

(2) This Act shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1985.

2. Fees

Section 125 of the principal Act is amended by adding the words -

"and shall, as may be provided in an appropriation Act, be expended upon the maintenance and construction of roads."

3. New Schedule inserted

The First Schedule to the principal Act (as inserted by the Transport Amendment Act 1975) is hereby repealed and the following Schedule substituted therefore.
