An Act to amend the Land (Facilitation of Dealings) Act 1970

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. Short Title and commencement - (1) This Act may be cited as the Land (Facilitation of Dealings) Amendment Act 1973-1974 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Land (Facilitation of Dealings) Act 1970 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

(2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the 22^nd day of September 1970.

2. On confirmation of resolution for alienation the Registrar to become agent of owners to execute instruments, etc. - Subsection (2) of section 58 of the principal Act is hereby amended by adding after the words "in that behalf" the words "and as if the alienation had been confirmed by the Land Court pursuant to Part XVI of the Cook Islands Act 1915.".
