An Act to amend the Crimes Act 1969

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
1. Short Title - This Act may be cited as the Crimes Amendment Act 1994-95 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Crimes Act 1969 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act").
2. Established business, trade or occupation - Section 169 of the principal Act is amended, by adding the following proviso -
"Provided always that no offence shall be committed under this section where the condition complained of arises out of an established business or occupation carried out on those premises by a person who can establish to the Court that reasonable steps are being taken in accordance with accepted practice in that business or occupation, to minimise the annoyance."
