An Act to amend the Aged, Destitute and Infirm Persons Relief Act 1966

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

1. Short Title and commencement

(1) This Act may be cited as the Aged Destitute and Infirm Persons Relief Amendment Act 1980 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Aged Destitute and Infirm Persons Relief Act 1966 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act").

(2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of October 1980.

2. Provision for Relief

Section 15 of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting from sub-section 5 the words "one pound" and substituting the words "four dollars".

This Act is administered by the Department of Internal Affairs.
